Artis T. Lanier Jr & Mrs. Valeria Lynn Lanier
Pastor Artis T. Lanier, Jr and Valeria (Lynn) Lanier are two of the most unselfish and charitable husband and wife union that this world will ever see. I am sure that there are others around but, when God created these two while still in the wombs of their mothers He had a plan and a destiny designed just for them. For anyone who has travelled on this ” Christian Road” with Pastor and Mrs. Lanier for the past 33 years would agree that it has been an amazing journey. The Bible says that the steps of a good man are ordered by God. The truth of that scripture is exemplified in the relationship, companionship and partnership of Pastor and Mrs. Lanier. This delightful couple has celebrated over 43 years in marriage. They are seasoned with years of experience in applying love unconditionally in their relationship with one another and abroad in their family and community. In October of 1989 at the tender age of 33 Artis T. Lanier Jr. was called to Pastor The First Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Lanier and his Wife possessed the anointed gift to be humble followers of distinguished Christian leaders at an early age. Because of their commitment and love for God and their non compromising faith in God’s word they have become two of Long Beach’s most distinguished couple’s. They both posses the dynamics that are needed to become successful in family, Christian lifestyle and leadership, business ventures, and community involvement. Pastor Lanier is a graduate of the Caleb School of Theology where he obtained his Degree in Systematic Theology and Christian Education. Pastor Lanier also serves as the President of the Christian Fellowship Union of Churches (C.F.U.C.) Mrs. Lanier is a former business owner of the first black commercial Daycare in the city of Signal Hill, CA. She is an accomplished playwriter and script writer and continues to expand her gifts serving her Church and community.
Proverbs 8: 10, 11, 35 best describes our Pastor and Wife, “Receive my instruction and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. For whosoever findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the lord.”
